Handmade soaps have always lured me, like ALWAYS.  And using the Saffron Handcrafted Soap only increased my inclination to handmade soaps. 

I have been using the Saffron handcrafted soap for a week now, and I guess it’s the right time to review it now. 


A little about the Essential Oil handmade soaps by Earthy Goods (website):

Exquisite soaps handcrafted by women blending pure coconut oil, herbs and flower extracts. Pure, high quality coconut oil, palm oil, herbs and essential oils are mixed together and poured into a mould. The bars are then cut and cured patiently and naturally in pure fresh air in the high Himalyan hills and lush farms of Pondicherry. Each bar is made with care and NO chemicals. Our soaps are rich in TFM and glycerin so they do not leave skin dry. AND, there are 12 naturally exciting variants to pick from!

About the product:

Women in the villages of Pondicherry have handcrafted this soap by blending natural oils, herbs and flower extracts. Each soap is cured naturally for weeks in fresh farm air.

A Beautifully scented soap, with 100% natural ingredients which make your normal showers a fragrant experience. 

However I did not try washing my face with it, since I never use any kind of soap on the face, it’s just a personal preference. 



Reasons to like the Saffron Handcrafted Soap by Earthy Goods:

•Affordable. 100 gms for 75 INR is not at all a bad deal. 

•The packaging is good, nothing over done neither under done, I like my soaps simply packed. 

•The fragrance is quiet soothing; I mean it has saffron so has to smell Yumm!

•The soap is very mild.

•The ingredients are surely aint worth a miss.  Has the goodness of coconut oil and saffron essential oil. Coconut oil is considered as a best natural moisturizer while saffron essential oil proffers radiance and glow to the skin. Lye acts as a cleanser while palm oil has anti aging, cleansing and moisturizing properties.



•It doesn’t dry out my skin after baths usually soaps tend to dry out the skin; I can rush out without a body moisturizer. 

•Leaves the skin squeaky clean.

•Lathers beautifully. I like my bath soaps to lather well.  I feel my baths are incomplete if my shower gels and soaps do not lather well.

•The soap longs for a while, I have bathed like for 6 consecutive days with the same soap and it hasn’t reduced a bit, it looks like a brand new bar to me, but if you leave it wet it may wash away like any other soap.

•Suits all skin types. 


Reasons to dislike the Saffron Handcrafted Soap by Earthy Goods:

•The fragrance of the soap doesn’t stay for long; it completely vanishes within 1-2 hours.

•I just wish they were easily available in all cities where we could personally see the products and pick them. 


Repurchase/recommendation:

Well I am eying their lipbalms and a few other soaps so, I will pick another variant of their soaps. 

I recommend to ladies who have an inclination to handmade soaps. You will love it. 
Overall it’s a feel good product!!

I am a sucker for lip balms, too many are too less for me when it comes to lip balms. I have used like all the possible brands of lip balms available around the globe. 

Reasons to like the lipbalm by Natures Brilliance:

• The first thing I sought for in a lip product is Vitamin E, I love my lips and I can’t see them pigmented, hence vitamin E is a must have ingredient.  This lip balm has it. 
• Affordable.  You get a pretty decent quantity for $3 , and goes a long way.
• The scent is not that heavy, I mean you get certain lip balms with heavy fragrances, like mint or peppermint; I like these scents only in my gums or mints, not on my lips. I recently got a product which has this strong mint smell. 
• The lip balm should be moisturizing, otherwise it is not a lip balm, I have used lip balms, which were only waxes on the name of lip balm, this lip balm is completely moisturizing. 
• I like tinted as well as clear lip balms, but the clear ones get more of my attention since I can use them below any lipstick shade.  The tangerine lipbalm sent to me by Susan is clear. 
• I got the lipbalm in a tiny winy tub; Susan has these lip balms in tube and sticks too. 
• Keeps my lips moist and soft.  Gives a healthy shine to my lips. :)
• My chapped lips are gone.  ( I am using it since winters now)
• Some Lip balms tend to melt and bleed this doesn’t. 
• The ingredients- you simply can’t miss out on this one after reading the ingredient list.  These lipbalms, contain Natural Vitamin C which is known as an antioxidant. :)





Reasons to dislike lipbalm by Natures Brilliance:

Absolutely nothing!! 

Repurchase/recommendation:

I will try out her other flavors pretty soon. Also I recommend it to all you lip balm suckers…  You will surely love it, and people who do not like lip balms will fall for lip balms after using it.

Hunting for the right shampoo and conditioner is like learning JAVA in a week. :P ( Couldn’t think of anything better, since I have my exams soon )

The last year was a rollercoaster ride with shampoos and conditioner for me, head and shoulders almost made me bald (wanted to combat dandruff anyhow), and Dove range of conditioners and shampoos left no stone unturned to make my hair frizzy and miserable. Finally, my look out for the right conditioner ended somewhere last year when I got my first Herbal Essence conditioner, and ever since then I have been darn loyal to it.

This time I thought of experimenting with the Herbal Essence conditioners, and bought the Herbal Essence dangerously straight silk and straight conditioner. And let me tell you I am quite satisfied with it.

Herbal essence has a whole range of great shampoos and conditioner, for every hair type and every hair problem. The Herbal Essence dangerously straight silk and straight conditioner is specially meant for the natural straight hair or the parlor straight hair. Curly haired girls, it won’t do you any good.  Wavy hair girls can give it a try.

I wonder why Herbal Essence doesn’t have commercial adverts. 

I use it, since I have wavy hair, I mean they are more on the straighter side, and also I keep straightening my bangs (I condition my bangs too :P) and hair regularly.

The conditioner is a fusion of honeysuckle and silk. 

Easily available in any cosmetic shop or beauty center, even shops selling imported goods. 

Packaging:

The Herbal Essence dangerously straight silk and straight conditioner comes in a very handy and cute “hot pink” bottle. All their products are very temptingly packaged. 

It has a good non-messy easy “bright green” outlet for conditioner. I love it. 




Composition:

Water, stearyl alcohol, cetyl alcohol, stearamidopropyl dimethykamine, glutamic acid, fragrance, bis aminoproplyl dimethicone, benzyl alcohol, propulene glycol, citric acid, EDTA, sodium chloride, hydrolyzed silk, lonicare Japonica(honeysuckle) flower extract, methylchloroisothiazolinone/ methylisothiazolinone, CI 17200.


To be honest, I was a little reluctant on buying it when I saw the composition containing alcohol compounds.



Texture and fragrance:

The conditioner is not runny at all; it is a thick creamy one. I totally love the fragrance, its all fresh fresh and fruity. Yumm!



Directions to use:

• Apply as a regular conditioner.
• Massage.
• Relax.
• Rinse out.

What I like about it:

• Firstly the packaging, yet again I fell for the bottle. :P
• Affordable.
• Good quantity.
• Nextly, it’s a typical good conditioner, does all the good things.
• Revitalizes and revives my hair thoroughly.
• It has a fresh fruity fragrance.
• Looks after my split ends, prevents them. 
• Conditions, conditions and conditions my hair. 
• Washes out easily.
• You need not use a lot of it, a little conditioner suffices.
• Does not make your hair oily oily, like few conditioners do.


What I dislike about it:

• May make your hair dry and frizzy in winters.
• Not for dry and curly hair, who crave for straight hair. Limited to straight haired people. 

Verdict:

It’s totally worth it. 


Will I buy it again?

Yes, I will and also recommend it to all the beauties whole are looking for a good good conditioner.
