Travelling, Exams, some more updates!!

Hello my beautiful readers,

Before anything else I need to APOLOGIZE, I know I have been playing up since the past 3 months now, but things just ain’t in my control……….

Firstly, my migration, then settling down and then my exams, everything has been sooo crazy and I have been in a shuttle cock amidst all this, I mean there isn’t anything which I could miss out or take lightly..  and the consequences, my blog suffers.

I mean I was due for updating the blog with a new domain and template, which was almost done, but at the last minute, luck showed up, I had to hurry back for my exams, I do not have proper internet connection now, till 24th july ( that’s when the exams end).

I cross my heart when I say I miss you all and ofcourse my blog. I need to be in a good frame of mind to update my blog, since I cannot write just for the sakes of it. 

I am wishing that things get back to normal soon, and I get off this roller coaster ride.  I have been pining to write and have a normal routine.

Last but not the least I thank all my subscribers and followers for the support they have shown, I continue to receive mails and requests from you all which seriously means a lot. I also thank all PR’s for supporting me and bearing up with me, I have your products with me and I will be reviewing them soon.  I really really need to thank you guys!! 

A colorful and random day- NOTD

A colorful random day! - NOTDI was completely vain on Friday, I had soooooooooo much to do but I still felt like letting things pass by … 


This sometimes happens to me,,, I mean like twice every week, I feel like sitting back and watching the world rush… 

But then I wanted something to remind me of the beautiful colors life has… and of course, I saw my friend Sonal’s video the other day where she magically did a beautiful nail art, I am not a nail art person I do not hold patience to try things and my nail paint never dries flawlessly, but randomness can get me anywhere anytime. 

I tried to what Sonal did in her video, but failed miserably, but at the end I was happy with what I saw, I mean I felt happy…… I saw some random colorful patterns on my nails, bright and colorful and my random day was made.. heheheehehehe!!!! So I thought I should share it with you guys, you can laugh your heart out …and even post me pictures of your nail art...so that I can put it up here, on my blog and also learn something from it… 

I have been using the Shadow Artist Shimmer Sticks for around 2 weeks now, like every day.  So finally sat back to jot down my views on the gorgeous chubby things. 

About the product:

As soon as I saw them, I instantly correlated them with the NYX jumbo eye pencils, may be because of their similar appearance and shape. I also think Lakme is the first Indian brand to have such chubby beauties.  I received the Glimmer green and Astral blue shades from the 4 listed above.  I was elated because I have been wanting to pick Siahi since ages and also wanted a nice green eye pencil for the summers. 



On first thoughts, the Shadow Artist Shimmer Sticks are creamy and very well pigmented eye pencils, however I have mixed reviews on them.





The Shadow Artist Shimmer Stick in Astral Blue is a very close dupe for Siahi, it’s a ,ate deep inky blue shade which doesn’t really have a lot of glitter and shimmer, It glides on like a dream on the eyes, whereas the Glimmer green is a nice bright summer green with a little sheen and some healthy shimmer. 











How do the Shadow Artist Shimmer Sticks look?

Thick, chubby and cute.  Indian version of the NYX jumbo pencils. Pretty packaging.

How do I wear the Shadow Artist Shimmer Sticks:

I love to put on a thick line of the Shadow Artist Shimmer Sticks on the lids, and have another thin contrasting liner on them, like a brown or a black one with blue and a blue or pink liner with the green.

I wear the Astral blue on my waterline; I love how it looks there. 

I have a thick line of the sticks on my lid and smudge them and blend it with a corresponding or contrasting eyeshadows.

I wear them as eyeshadow bases. 



Reasons to like the Shadow Artist Shimmer Sticks:

The Shadow Artist Shimmer Sticks are priced decently.

They are darn creamy.

The pigmentation is nice!!

Awesome colors.

Super easy to use.

An almost exact dupe for Siahi

Easier to blend and line on, doesn’t really tug or tow.

Easily available

Although they are creamy and soft the point doesn’t break or something like that even when I sharpened them, some eye liners also tend to break whilst application.

They are waterproof; I had to literally use soap to get them off.  Otherwise you need a nice make up remover or olive oil to get them off.



Multipurpose, Lives up to the claim of edge, smudge, line, shadow, color or blend. 
They didn’t melt or smudge on my waterline.

They did not irritate my waterline.  I have a super sensitive waterline; even the Drama gel or plain kohl irritates my waterline at times.

You will love to carry them around, since they are cute plus they are the best handy emergency eyeshadows too.

Reasons to dislike the Shadow Artist Shimmer Sticks:

My mum has oily skin, and these pencils melted on her lids, they smudged very badly on her eyes. 

They do crease; you must like MUST have a good base or primer if you want to avoid this.

They smell like natraj pencils. 

Sharpening can be an issue.  Rather finding the right sharpener for them can be an issue.

Repurchase/recommendation:

For now I am happy with these two shades, I recommend it to ladies who looking for Siahi dupes or want to have NYX jumbo eye pencils. I agree they crease but if used with a nice base or primer this can be totally avoided. 

About the Cocoa & Milk Fresh Face Masque by Iraya:




The Cocoa & Milk fresh face masque reached me on the 1st of April I guess and it had to be used by the 6th, I used it for 4 times and wished I could last with me for a lifetime.  Which women on earth would hate a chocolate smelling soothing face masque? 

At first glance it seemed like chocolate mousse to me, thick and brown. 
It is one of the best face masques I have come across till date, which is so mild, so soothing and smells so yummmlicious.

The quantity at the price is great, I mean I used it for 4 times and my Mom used it once.

The fragrance of the face masque is to die for; you actually feel that you are applying chocolate. :P

The ingredients, cocoa bean is great for the skin, it smoothen the skin making it hydrated. Milk has multiple beauty benefits, it’s a great moisturizer, cleanser, provides radiance, has bleaching agents, and also evens out the complexion whereas hazelnut has skin tightening properties, and also acts as a great toner. What more do you want for a chocolicious smelling face pack?

It lived up to its claims. Made my skin smooth and supple and this feeling stayed for a couple of a days. 

My skin had a nice healthy glow after using this face masque. 

Didn’t break me out, usually face masques tend to break me out making my skin super dry and stretchy. 




Didn’t dry out my skin. 

Reasons to dislike the Cocoa & Milk Fresh Face Masque by Iraya:

My mom used it too, she has super oily skin, and it dried her skin out, weird right? I have combination skin and it didn’t dry me out.

You should have a lot of time to have the Cocoa & Milk Fresh Face Masque by Iraya on, since it takes a lot of time to dry.  Total indulgence you see. 

The shelf life is too short, I mean I know that fresh face masques should be so, but I wanted it to long more and more. 

Availability is the biggest con of the Cocoa & Milk Fresh Face Masque by Iraya. They do not have the online buying option too. 


Repurchase/recommendation:

I am definitely visiting Iraya on my next Pune or Mumbai trip. I am just too curious to try out their other products. I recommend it to all the women, it’s a super yummilicious face masque. 

I have been using the Saffron handcrafted soap for a week now, and I guess it’s the right time to review it now. 

About the product:

Women in the villages of Pondicherry have handcrafted this soap by blending natural oils, herbs and flower extracts. Each soap is cured naturally for weeks in fresh farm air.

A Beautifully scented soap, with 100% natural ingredients which make your normal showers a fragrant experience. 

However I did not try washing my face with it, since I never use any kind of soap on the face, it’s just a personal preference. 



Reasons to like the Saffron Handcrafted Soap by Earthy Goods:

•Affordable. 100 gms for 75 INR is not at all a bad deal. 

•The packaging is good, nothing over done neither under done, I like my soaps simply packed. 

•The fragrance is quiet soothing; I mean it has saffron so has to smell Yumm!

•The soap is very mild.

•The ingredients are surely aint worth a miss.  Has the goodness of coconut oil and saffron essential oil. Coconut oil is considered as a best natural moisturizer while saffron essential oil proffers radiance and glow to the skin. Lye acts as a cleanser while palm oil has anti aging, cleansing and moisturizing properties.



•It doesn’t dry out my skin after baths usually soaps tend to dry out the skin; I can rush out without a body moisturizer. 

•Leaves the skin squeaky clean.

•Lathers beautifully. I like my bath soaps to lather well.  I feel my baths are incomplete if my shower gels and soaps do not lather well.

•The soap longs for a while, I have bathed like for 6 consecutive days with the same soap and it hasn’t reduced a bit, it looks like a brand new bar to me, but if you leave it wet it may wash away like any other soap.

•Suits all skin types. 


Reasons to dislike the Saffron Handcrafted Soap by Earthy Goods:

•The fragrance of the soap doesn’t stay for long; it completely vanishes within 1-2 hours.

•I just wish they were easily available in all cities where we could personally see the products and pick them. 


Repurchase/recommendation:

Well I am eying their lipbalms and a few other soaps so, I will pick another variant of their soaps. 

I recommend to ladies who have an inclination to handmade soaps. You will love it. 
Overall it’s a feel good product!!
