Cocoa & Milk Fresh Face Masque by Iraya- Review!

I mentioned a few days back that I won some Iraya goodies from Girlyhour.com, HERE.

I received a face wash, soap and a fresh face masque from Iraya.  Yeyyy!!!
Summers and face masques go hand in hand for me, I have a combination skin and I need to control my skin oils and nothing other than face packs can do it.  Moreover when the face packs are made from cocoa and milk who can resist? :P

About the Cocoa & Milk Fresh Face Masque by Iraya:

The Cocoa & Milk fresh face masque reached me on the 1st of April I guess and it had to be used by the 6th, I used it for 4 times and wished I could last with me for a lifetime.  Which women on earth would hate a chocolate smelling soothing face masque? 

At first glance it seemed like chocolate mousse to me, thick and brown. 
It is one of the best face masques I have come across till date, which is so mild, so soothing and smells so yummmlicious.

Reasons to love the Cocoa & Milk Fresh Face Masque by Iraya:

I find it affordable, as in 50 gms for 90 INR not a bad deal right?

The quantity at the price is great, I mean I used it for 4 times and my Mom used it once.

The fragrance of the face masque is to die for; you actually feel that you are applying chocolate. :P

The ingredients, cocoa bean is great for the skin, it smoothen the skin making it hydrated. Milk has multiple beauty benefits, it’s a great moisturizer, cleanser, provides radiance, has bleaching agents, and also evens out the complexion whereas hazelnut has skin tightening properties, and also acts as a great toner. What more do you want for a chocolicious smelling face pack?

It lived up to its claims. Made my skin smooth and supple and this feeling stayed for a couple of a days. 

My skin had a nice healthy glow after using this face masque. 

Didn’t break me out, usually face masques tend to break me out making my skin super dry and stretchy. 

Didn’t dry out my skin. 

Reasons to dislike the Cocoa & Milk Fresh Face Masque by Iraya:

My mom used it too, she has super oily skin, and it dried her skin out, weird right? I have combination skin and it didn’t dry me out.

You should have a lot of time to have the Cocoa & Milk Fresh Face Masque by Iraya on, since it takes a lot of time to dry.  Total indulgence you see. 

The shelf life is too short, I mean I know that fresh face masques should be so, but I wanted it to long more and more. 

Availability is the biggest con of the Cocoa & Milk Fresh Face Masque by Iraya. They do not have the online buying option too. 

Repurchase/recommendation:

I am definitely visiting Iraya on my next Pune or Mumbai trip. I am just too curious to try out their other products. I recommend it to all the women, it’s a super yummilicious face masque. 

Rating:

4/5 (-1 for availability)

Pond’s White Beauty Daily Spot-less 1 lightening facial foam- Review

After my Pond’s daily face wash- active cleansing system- Review, I naturally had to review the Pond’s White Beauty Daily Spot-less 1 lightening facial foam too, since after that the comparison between the two will be simpler and all my beautiful readers will have a clearer version on which product to pick and choose. 

Pond’s daily face wash- active cleansing system is my HG face wash as I mentioned before, and I find it really unbelievable that its sibling product did not live as much to the expectations as Pond’s daily face wash- active cleansing system did. 

Price and quantity: 60 INR (Around 1.5 USD) for 50 g

Product claim: Daily Spot-less 1 lightening facial foam cleanses deeply for glowing and brighter skin.

This gentle foam deeply cleanses and brightens skin, transforming your complexion to a radiant, look you’ve always wanted. The foam’s unique formula reduces dullness and brightens skin, while washing away old and weary, sallow skin cells. Skin feels soft, smooth and sparkling clean.

About the product:
The Pond’s White Beauty Daily Spot-less 1 lightening facial foam, is a sibling product of the Pond’s daily face wash- active cleansing system. The latter is way better than this one. Nevertheless the product lives up a bit to its claims and the consumer’s expectation.  It is apt for combination skin type and oilies. Dry skinned people MUST skip this. The texture of the foam reminds me of the good-old fair and lovely cream. 

Packaging:
Comes in a decently pink flip cap tube which ensures non messy disposing of the foam.

Ingredients: myristic acid, glycerin, water, propylene glycol, potassium hydroxide, palmitic acid & stearic acid, lauric acid, glycol distearate, decyl glucoside, glyceryl stearate polyquaternium-7, niacinamide, DMDM hydatoin & iodopropynyl butylcarbamate, perfume, disodium edta.

How to use it: Wet your face. Apply to face and neck and gently massage. Rinse off.

They have mentioned in a pink box: “Use along with Pond’s white beauty. Daily spot-less1 lightening cream with pro-vitamin B3” (nice marketing strategy)

Why I like Pond’s White Beauty Daily Spot-less 1 lightening facial foam:

• Affordable
• Easily available
• The soothing fragrance it has.
• Gives me a clean face after washing.
• Deep cleans, I use it for washing my face when I come back home from a dusty polluted day. 
• This might be a surprise, or may be it has happened only to me, I had some tiny mini pimple marks on my left cheek, and they have seemingly lightened. 
• Good for combination skinned people like me; this doesn’t really suck up all the moisture on my face whereas it can cause breakouts to the dry skinned people.

What I do not like about the Pond’s White Beauty Daily Spot-less 1 lightening facial foam:

• Not meant for dry skin. My friend used this, she is a horrid dry skinned monster :P. She had breakout, I even heard my fellow bloggers complaining the same.
• Sticks to the skin, you really have to rub it off to get rid of the foam.

Re-purchase/ recommend:
I won’t really re-purchase it and recommend it to combination or oily skinned people.  It’s a skip for the dry skinned people. 
