Earthy Goods- Feel good goodies!! 

I have been inclined to handmade cosmetics and goodies since a while now, actually since the inception of Lush. :P I stumbled on Earthy Goods a while ago and found quite fascinating. 

I received a set of samples from Earthy Goods a while ago. Here’s a preview to the goodies, but before that a bit about Earthy Goods.

Earthy goods has about a wide range of natural food, natural body car, lifestyle products, gift products and limited edition products too. 

Handmade Soaps, lip balms, face washes, shower gels, natural oils and oodles and oodles of other goodies dominate their product line.

Here are my goodies,

Inspired by a village roadtrip

Earthy Goods was set up as a social enterprise in 2007 after a four month road trip to villages across remote rural outposts of India. As we traveled, we met many entrepreneurs and artisans who made natural products with traditional methods and immense goodness but faced challenges to market their products on fair terms.

We set up Earthy Goods to bring a range of ethically sourced, quality natural handcrafted products made in villages around India into our urban homes. We choose products that support local farmers and employment in villages. These include delicious homemade jams & preserves, organic cereals, seasonings & herbal teas, pure mountain honey, essential oil handmade soaps, pure apricot oil, beeswax lip balms, natural incense and many more. The products are rich in traditional goodness and relevant for today’s complex urban lifestyles for our own health and well being.

Marketed under the ‘Earth Store’ label, all products are made with passion and care, are minimally processed and chemical free. In a small way, when we make a choice in their favor as consumers, we also make a difference to the lives of the people who make them. Earth Store products Feel Good, Do Good.
Earthy Goods operates as a hybrid model that draws the best from business and development practices. All marketing, distribution and business development work is anchored in a for-profit company. This enterprise has been funded by the Chennai based IFMR Trust. The team is also deeply appreciative of the support from the Ford Foundation India office.

Small producers also require technical assistance inputs that they can scarcely afford. To this end, we set up the Earthy Goods Foundation in 2008 as a non profit entity. The Foundation leads programs in entrepreneurship skill development, new product development, certification standards for products and financial access to small enterprises.

The Foundation has forged partnerships with Indian corporates to formulate effective social responsibility programs. A key partnership includes 'Amodini', a Godfrey Philips’ Bravery initiative. Amodini aims to empower women producers and artisans through improving their skills and creating a line of marketable products for corporate gifting.
Hope you liked the goodies; I will be reviewing each one of these individually for you all.
